It was here that Hadrian just straight up decided to leave, and I dithered between considering trying her (off screen) advice to go through influence channels I might have with the Salt Lake hierarchy via some of my Dinner Party pals, and just giving up and moving on, which is what ultimately won out after some upcoming events!

Also off screen, she let me in on a little secret: something called "Bishop's Notes". I had already learned out in Utah that my only way out of this particular corrupt priest's authority was to marry or move, and at this time I learned that even if I did either of those things, I would still be permanently haunted by whatever his - and others' - commentary about me was in my Bishop's Notes file, which is like the much threatened "permanent record" at school, only it's for real and for life. Since Mormon leadership are considered to be appointed by God and infallible, whatever they write in your BN file is not only available to your local leaders wherever you go on earth, forever, instantly via computer; but also non viewable (by you) and non negotiable or editable (by anyone). My abusive ex had gloated that he had told our Bishop at the time negative lies about me that would stick and cause permanent harm - I thought he was bluffing and people would be able to see my true goodness. But nope, not if it conflicts with what's in the file!
