WOSF Episode 27

It's Divine Mercy Sunday, y'all!

Which we had NO IDEA about, not yet paying attention to ecclesiastical calendars, when we just rolled up to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, not knowing what that place was either, but thinking that it sounded rather Catholic sounding and would possibly have restrooms.

The rest is Church History.

It's a beautiful and peaceful place, with friendly staff, daily Masses, an awesome gift shop/bookstore, occasional special events, and guided tours most days of the week. Open to visitors of any faith or none, individuals and families or bus sized pilgrimage groups, and it's worth it for the architecture alone, but obviously we would highly recommend being Catholic and going to Holy Mass while you're there! (You can still sit in on a Mass if you're not Catholic, of course, but you can't receive Communion, which Hadrian couldn't at first - but wait until May The Month Of Mary And Miracles!)
