WOSF Episode 28

The subtitle is a Mormon reference, and so is my prayer at the end.

I learned some important and useful habits and skills during my time with the Mormons - prayerful scripture reading, daily journal writing, listening to my heart for answers to prayer, praying actively as a child of God and not just by rote, and the beginnings of how to feel genuine love and happiness after so many years feeling "frozen" by trauma and terror.

All of these things came together to bring me home to happiness as I read this little book along the road back home to Ohio which ended in a U turn back to the south and truly "home to Rome".

Possibly my last Mormon reference: by small means the Lord accomplishes great things! In the end, I wasn't "disobedient" after all - except to sin. I obeyed the late President Russell M. Nelson's teaching to "make the Scriptures your personal Liahona" (the magical compass found in Viking lore and the Book of Mormon), from his lecture to the Mormon women's groups in March 2024. They guided me true, along with obeying Moroni's instruction to pray and obtain true testimony through the 'burning in the bosom' like Jesus's disciples on the road to Emmaus.
